The time has come to start putting your teams together. In case you are not aware of it, last year was the end of the International Competition. This year will be the first National Competition. The format for the competition appears to be the same as that for ISAR: Chart Work, SAR, Line Toss, Marlinspike, Mystery Event, & Comms/

There have been inquiries if First Aid would be part of the competition. As far as I know it will not be but who knows what the mystery event will be about. No harm will be done if the teams brush up on first aid as covered in the Boat Crew Manual. The only major change at this time is that the teams will be limited to three persons.

Our district will have its competition on Saturday July 26^th at ISC Boston at 0900 hours. The winning team, which will represent the 1^st District, will go onto the National Competition at Cape May, NJ to take place on October the 3^rd through the 5^th. Further information regarding the event will be distributed as it becomes available.
